Weddings
This day can be one of the most important days of a woman’s life and certainly one on which you want to feel your most beautiful! I have been making up gorgeous brides for over ten years and I see it as an honour to be a part of making such a momentous occasion perfect. Prior to the big day we will do a trial to make sure that every part of your look is absolutely superb. On the day I will then recreate this look exactly, meaning you can just relax and be pampered with the peace of mind that you will be thrilled with the end result.
Event/Formal
Do you have a special date, birthday party, or maybe an important work function coming up? Why not have your hair and makeup done professionally, so you can just relax and enjoy the night? I will come to you and with your input and visual references I will create the perfect look for the occasion, with consideration to your chosen outfit and accessories, to have you feeling your absolute best.
Vintage/Pinup
Whether you are off to a fancy-dress party, or want vintage style hair and makeup for your wedding or special event, I have you covered! I specialise in vintage hair and makeup styling from the 20’s through to the 60’s. I was the head of hair and the chief makeup artist for Sherbet Birdie Vintage Photography Studio in Sydney for five years, until my relocation to Brisbane. During that time at Sherbet Birdie I did the hair and makeup for over seven hundred happy clients! I am also available for vintage specific private lessons to teach you all the tips, tricks, and products to help you create your own flawless vintage style!
Photography
If you require professional headshots, or if you are having a family or personal shoot, I can come to you and ensure you are totally camera ready! I have over five years of studio experience, including making up models for fashion shoots, and my kit is stocked with photography specific products to have you looking and feeling your very best. I know which products will work with different types of lighting and flash photography, so feel free to ask me about it and I’ll help you look amazing for your photo shoot!
Private Lessons
Do you have a stack of makeup products but you are not really sure how to use them, or if they are the right colours for you? Do you want to know how to create a natural day look, or a smoky eye for a special night out? If so, this service is for you! I will tailor a lesson for you based on your requirements, show you how to make the most of the products you have, and suggest new products to freshen up your look and have you feeling refreshed and
empowered to go ahead and use your products with confidence on a day to day basis.
Workshops
I run small group workshops hosted in the privacy of my beautiful home in North Brisbane. Come and have a fun few hours with other Lovely Ladies who all want to hone their makeup skills, whilst sipping champagne and nibbling on canapés! Classes vary from ‘Natural Day Makeup’ to ‘Evening Glamour’ and ‘Vintage Pinup Hair and Makeup’. Book in to come with a friend or alternatively get your own small group together and I can come to you.

Welcome! My name is Lucy and my goal is to make you look and feel AMAZING inside and out, as I truly believe that we ALL deserve to feel WONDERFUL!!!
When I was three years old my Mother gave me some red lipstick and my love of makeup was born. (Sadly, not long after, I drew on the wall with it and she confiscated it!). All through my school years I would steal my mother's left-over makeup and make my poor sister and friends sit in my 'chair' and be made up. During my high school years I did the hair and makeup for all the school concerts and musicals. It was just always something I was fascinated by.
I found my calling when a good friend of mine had her hair and makeup artist fall through at the last moment. She called me crying, and asked me if I would help her on her special day, and of course I said I would. As I was doing her makeup, she looked at me and said "You should do this professionally!" It was a light bulb moment, so I completed professional certification and assisted a makeup artist and hair stylist for a year to hone my skills.
That was eleven years ago and I have never looked back! I love makeup's power to transform how you feel instantaneously.
